Elect Michael Cook,
ABQ City Council, Oct. 6, 2009
Michael Cook grew up in Albuquerque and is a small business owner, employer, and Certified Financial Planner. He is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the U.S. Army and he and his wife Julie Ann have raised three sons in the general Uptown neighborhood of Albuquerque. In addition to his extensive neighborhood association and community involvement, Michael has served on the City of Albuquerque’s Police Oversight Commission and was its Chairman in 2007.
As City Councilor, Cook will focus on public safety, promoting small business jobs and economic development, having a fiscally disciplined approach to city government spending, and ethically serving the people with concern and respect.
Cook believes City Councilors should serve and not be served, and that they should serve with integrity and not seek personal gain. “I will treat everyone with fairness and dignity.”
Mike strongly believes “Our City Councilor and city government should work for the citizens, and not the other way around.”
